Christmas in the Castle
This year, Yoello is delighted to be supporting Christmas in the Castle in Cardiff. To help the event run with COVID safety in mind, the event will be using the Yoello platform in order to offer mobile ordering with a QR set up.
The magical Christmas Winter Wonderland will be going ahead with our help, and we’re very proud that our technology is helping Cardiff run one of only a few Winter events running across the whole of the UK this year.

How is Yoello being used at Christmas in the Castle?
Yoello technology is helping to bring the community together to celebrate Christmas in Cardiff, despite the COVID-19 restrictions. Christmas in the Castle will welcome the public to the ticketed event, where they’ll be able to experience some kind of normality this year.
The Winter Wonderland style events being held at Cardiff and Swansea are two of only a few events running across the whole of the UK this Christmas, and the Yoello platform has been a key component in allowing these amazing events to run.
At Christmas in the Castle, there will be two sections using the Yoello platform to help with ordering and social distancing. The first section to use the platform is the Alpine style ski resort bar which is based outside the Castle where the platform will be used for mobile ordering.
Yoello will also be used in the ski chalet huts that are maximum 4 people capacity and offer a more private experience. These huts will use the QR code ordering set-up to ensure that people can order safely from their chalet. It promises to be an amazing experience and a bit of Christmas normality that we all deserve at this time of year. Keep an eye out for our technology if you’ve got a ticket for the chalet experience!
The second section using Yoello will be inside the Castle grounds in the heated and sheltered outdoor seating area. This area will be nice and cosy, and the Yoello platform will mean that guests can order remotely or from the bar and have food delivered from a variety of foodie stalls. In a similar set up to the Castle food court that ran in the Summer, the Yoello platform will enable Castle goers to get their hands on all of the delicious food from a safe distance. There’s all sorts in this section including a Yorkshire Pudding Wrap stall and a doughnut shack too - perfect Christmas treats!
How Will Guests Order Using Yoello?
Yoello is powering foodie innovations during this period, and guests will be able to support local businesses and enjoy amazing food and drink in a socially distanced way.
Yoello enables secure and seamless mobile ordering where guests can order from a variety of food options from their mobile device, and then have their food delivered.
You’ll be able to order food from the eateries across the whole premise from the comfort of your seat, meaning that you’ll stay COVID safe whilst enjoying whatever food and drink you like.
The best bit about the Yoello solution is that there is no app or download needed, and this encourages users to get on board. With less hassle, customers simply scan a QR or type in a URL using any smartphone to browse the menu, make an order and pay.
